Start … End… Start… End…

A journey always has a beginning and an end. The end of one is the start of a new. Therefore, all things must come to an end at some point.

During the time spent in the bootcamp program, I faced many difficulties and stress, but it was well worth it. I made many new friends and overcame many new challenges. Especially trying to learn a new language within a short time frame. After graduating from Flatiron School bootcamp, it was the end of another chapter in my life. “Life at Flatiron School.”

The excitement lasted as quickly as it came. I felt lost about what to do next. I had no plan, no goal compared to when I was in the program. My schedule was blank, had nothing to do or better yet what should I be doing next.

I needed a job but I still believe I wasn’t ready to apply yet. I felt that my foundation was still shaky. I didn’t have any confidence in myself to have the title of software engineer.

After a week of rest, I had time to myself to think. I decided to continue my study. I began my 30 days study in learning node, express, and mongoDB on the Coursera platform.

Keeping myself busy I continued my studies, applied to some entry level jobs and did algo practices.

After the completion of the course, I began two new courses on the Udemy platform. I took Zero to Master, React and Zero to Master, JavaScript Projects. Everyday I learn something new and further expand my portfolio.

Networking

As of now I’m trying to expand my network. I have been attending meetups and workshop events. I recently just joined Code For Chicago.

I have also been making new friends on VRChat. VR technology is so much fun. I was at a XR meetup. I was surprised that I was able to talk to the lead and the manager of the Microsoft hololens.

What next on my agenda?

• applying to jobs daily
• expanding my network
• practicing algo
• building new projects
• keep on learning
• NEVER GIVE UP !!!
